Princess Sarah Book Review: Dom Wars Round Five

Lucian Bane, The Ineffable Dom has done it again! Dom Wars: Round 5 is by far the funniest round.

If you have not read the first four rounds I would suggest that you do so. This is not a stand alone.

Since this is my semi-first review (be kind I am still working on my flow for this) I want to start out by saying how much I like Lucian Bane's writing style. For me, he writes in a way that flows smooth and understandable. Don't need big flashy words that I have to use the dictionary to find out what they mean (Might have to go to an adult toy store to see all the COOL toys mentioned  :p ) . I have several books where I have highlighted all the words I look up... Yep not kidding LOL!

Character development through out the series has been amazing. I feel like they have become my friends... I am cheering them on, mentally smacking them upside the head, yelling at them... crying with them, laughing with them and supporting them when they need it.

With round five, we get a little more of Steve....

Steve is, well Steve! He has been by Lucian and Tara's side most of the way. And in Round Five you find out a little bit more about him. Just as Lucian will lay his life and sanity on the line for Tara... Steve has that same endearing quality.

At the end of Round Four we were introduced to Preacher Dom. Starting out the imagine I had in my little head of Preacher was a big brute of a man with a serious 'I am God' complex. Like maybe he spent time in the joint and had a 'I found Jesus' moment. Preacher is a strong willed, knowledgeable, take-no-shit character. (I envisioned Samuel l Jackson from Pulp Fiction) As the story progresses bits and pieces start to unfold about Preacher and you begin to understand a little more about him. His take-no-shit head strong ways begin to make sense. But you get those subtle glimpses of a soft gentle man. (hmmm remind you of any other Dom you have fallen for?)

Round Five is an amazing adventure filled with angst, toys, and preaching OH MY! You might even have a 'Jesus moment'. Lucian is still ever protective of his Tara. Tara... I have been TEAM TARA since Round One. In perfect Tara fashion she makes a statement from the moment she rolls up to the moment she puts on ..... (hehehehe not going to say). Lucian and Tara are still the main characters, I felt that the Lucian/Tara story line was a side to the main "meat" of this round.

In some ways I felt this was a continuation of Lucian from Round Four (well DUH I know it is), I mean in the sense that he is still fighting his demons. And I guess in some ways that never ends. All in all I give this round a 5 out of 5 stars. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough... of course that is my complaint with all the rounds thus far.

Lucian Bane I await Round Six like a giddy school girl needing to pee but not wanting to leave in fear she will miss something. So happy writing to you my friend *MWAH*
